Fabric Weaving Workshop Shiyon

Since she was a child, Atsuko Kikumura, the representative of Fabric Weaving Workshop Shiyon, has watched women around her weave textiles,and she has dreamed of weaving fabrics of her own someday. She continues to weave textiles with the same passion she had as a child to this very day.

Centered around Kikumura, Shiyon is a group that consists of women who graduated from
the Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts with a concentration in Weaving as part of the Crafts Major.

With cotton as their primary material, they use natural fibers like silk and hemp for the yarn, and they propose fabric items that are entirely hand-dyed and handwoven.

Intentionally not belonging to any of the various textile organizations, they strive to create long-lasting and easy-to-use items that will make users happy.
