Not resistant to heat. Do not heat directly or put in the oven. Do not freeze, especially when wet.

Because the glaze used is a matte-type, aging will be more apparent when compared to ceramics that use a gloss-type glaze.
There are subtle bumps and punctures on the surface, and prolonged use will cause oil and water to be absorbed, creating patterns or changes in color.
A beige tone will be more prominent with white wares, while solid textures will be more pronounced with gray ones.

Preventing Stains with the Medome Process
Medome, a process that prevents the ceramic textures from staining, is not a required step.
However, doing so before use will help the product last longer as well as maintain its appearance at the time of purchase.
Because ceramics have microscopic pores, they are highly water-absorbent. Once they go through the medome process, it will prevent stains and water leaks.

Instructions on How to Do the Medome Process:
First, wash the item and let it dry. Place it in a pot that covers its entire size and completely submerge it in water.
Then, add 1 to 2 large tablespoons of starch and heat it. In Japan, the water used after washing rice is used instead.
Once the water begins to boil, turn off the heat and remove the item when it has cooled. Wash it and let it dry naturally.
