Bulb Vase/ Niijima Glass
A Big Performance by Something Small
There is a scene in a 1000-year-old Japanese book where just one or two flowers are arranged and admired. Since ancient times, the Japanese have had a culture of appreciating the beauty of nature in small spaces. A vase smaller than the usual size, one that fits in the palm of your hand, can easily be placed in even the tiniest spots in your home. Your heart will feel full just by placing wildflowers in this small, bulb-shaped glass vase.
Niijima glass is produced on the Pacific island of Niijima, located 99 miles south of Tokyo. It is characterized by its natural olive green color. This green color comes from the Koga stone, which is found in only two places in the world: Lipari Island in Italy and Niijima Island in Japan.Made from 100% koga stone, Niijima glass is the only pure volcanic stone glass in the world.
